We are looking for talented dedicated sailors who enjoy teaching and seeing athletes progress on the water. There are two opportunities below to teach sailing for the summer of 2025
Youth Instructors
Since 2002 Tahoe Community Sailing has run an award winning sailing program through the TCPUD Parks and Rec Department. They are looking for 4 more youth instructors to teach Novice/Intermediate Youth sailing at Obexer's Beach on Tahoe's Westshore. The ideal candidates are age 16+, are proficient in sailing dinghies, and have at minimum, a Level One US Sailing Small Boat Instructor credential. Other skills required are competency operating a powerboat and VHF radio, First Aid/CPR. This is a full time summer position through the TCPUD running June 1st through end of August. Licensed Sailing Captain
Lake Tahoe Sailing is looking for passionate sailors with a US Coast Guard Captain's credential to teach week long sailing classes and lead private group charters on our Melges 24 and Hobie 33 Keelboats. Knowledge of performance Laser Racing and Keelboat racing is preferred as you will be expected to take clients racing in the keelboats. This is a part time position going from Mid May through October. Sailing times are 2-5 PM and 5:30-8:30PM every day leaving your mornings free.
